Meet The Doctors of Chiropractic

Dr. Sansen

Dr. Jennifer Sansen started her medical career in veterinary medicine, teaching for two years at WSU Vet School following undergraduate training. However, her interests took detour after receiving a life-changing spinal adjustment. After searching for relief from debilitating sciatic nerve pain for two years, she was ultimately told by doctors that she would have to “live with it” and that pain medication was going to be her only option for relief.

This devastating news sent her on a search for alternatives to pain medication. After her first chiropractic adjustment she experienced immediate pain relief and ultimately a natural “cure” for her pain. A few years later she knew that she wanted to help others the way she herself had been helped so she applied and was accepted to Life West Chiropractic College in California, where she achieved her Doctor of Chiropractic, graduating Magna Cum Laude.

In her 30 years of practice she has had the privilege of helped thousands of men, women, children – even infants live their best lives pain free and in optimal health. Dr, Sansen knows that when the spine is misaligned it affects the entire nervous system and can have potentially crippling effects on a person long term. Unfortunately to often misalignments go untreated or only the symptoms are treated with modern medicine.

In 1994 Dr Sansen began her chiropractic career at Kitsap Chiropractic and has continued her love and learning in the chiropractic field as well as nutrition health and wellness. Her post graduate studies include:
  • Certified Chiropractic Extremities Practitioner (2002)
  • Chiropractic Pediatric Fellowship (2002/2016)
  • Advanced Proficient Activator Methods Technique (1994)
  • Activator Methods Certified Instructor (1995-2006)
  • Nutrition and Wellness (ongoing)
  • Spinal Rehabilitation
  • Whiplash and Spinal Injuries

Karen Busso, D.C.

Dr. Karen Busso was born and raised in Connecticut, but at a young age she felt the calling to head west. She kept heading west until she finally made it to Washington and the beautiful Pacific Northwest back in 1995. After experiencing some significant health challenges as a child and finally getting relief through chiropractic care, she knew that becoming a chiropractor was her life's mission.  She received her Bachelor of Science degree then went on to achieve her Doctor of Chiropractic from Logan College of Chiropractic, in St. Louis, MO. In practice for 30 years and specializing in the activator method, Dr. Busso has helped thousands of people transition from a life of constant daily pain to fully mobile and pain free living by first implementing her therapeutic chiropractic treatment program followed by graduating her patients to life-long wellness care.

In her free time Dr. Busso enjoys relaxing, being out in nature, and spending time with her loving husband and fur baby Winston. She has a small group of friends who are precious to her. As often as her busy schedule allows she takes the opportunity to rejuvenate her soul with traveling. One of her favorite destinations is the Sunshine State, warm and sunny Florida.

Dr Busso says: "Ongoing chiropractic care is just as important as regular check-ups with your primary care doctor, your dentist, or your optometrist. Because spinal health is so important, I encourage everyone to get checked out and to take care of their spines to achieve optimal health and to live a long, pain free life."  And: "PAIN IS NOT NORMAL!"
